Boston Brass Kansas City Concert reviews
One Night with Queen a Parody
This show was a huge disappointment, having only seen Boston Brass. A caricature to the real Freddie is the show Gary puts on, as he sounds & looks quite a bit like Freddie. Freddie, a showman, had command of the audience & never had to lower himself to cheap theatrics that Gary seems to favor. Yes, Freddie was flamboyant, but not in an overly sexual way. Also, Gary earns respect & participation from the audience, not by demanding, yelling, or belittling the people who paid hard earned money to see him. The harmonies were not there, as the songs sounded a little flat. This could be a decent show if Gary toned down the theatrics & got better backing vocals. He does not do Freddie justice, this is not a tribute show until then. To see how a master does it, Gary needs to watch some live Queen videos. Just not on this stage, long live Freddie.
